Miele Wins Interior Design Magazine 2013 Best of Year Award
Brilliant White Plus Series named best in kitchen appliance category
Princeton, NJ – Miele, the largest family-owned appliance manufacturer in the world, is pleased to announce its Brilliant White Plus Series is a 2013 Interior Design Best of Year (BOY) winner. Miele was honored in the kitchen appliance category. Now in its 8th year, the Interior Design BOY Awards are one of the preeminent design competitions in the industry, recognizing superior interior design products and projects.
“The response from the industry for the new Brilliant White Plus Series has been outstanding,” said Dr. Christian Schwarz, VP of Marketing for Miele. “Architects and designers have long revered the color white for its ability to harmonize and balance space. Introducing this specialty glass finish was about meeting the demand of what we felt was a void in the luxury appliance market. Receiving the Interior Design Best of Year Award reinforces our passion to develop innovative products that allow architects and designers to achieve great design.”
The Miele Brilliant White Plus Series is accented by a reflective white glass fascia, clean lines and chrome handles. Inspired by five core ideas - concept, form, elements, continuity and detail, this new collection offers design professionals a unique group of appliance solutions. The Brilliant White Plus Series includes a 30” Convection Oven, Steam Oven, Speed Oven, Whole Bean Coffee System and Plate and Cup Warmer.
This year’s Interior Design BOY competition included more than 1,800 submissions, its largest ever. Finalists were selected by Interior Design Editor-in-Chief, Cindy Allen and a jury of industry leaders. More than 62,000 online votes from architects and designers were received selecting this year’s winners. Winners were announced at the state of the art, Frank Gehry designed, IAC Building in New York City on December 5, 2013.
